For the fourth year in a row, Bicycling Magazine has chosen Portland as a great city for cycling. This year we were awarded Best Overall City. They applauded our two free bike lights programs, the Eastbank Esplanade/Springwater and the fact that the number of cyclists has tripled in the last three years. The article also cited our expanding bike lanes, creative bike culture, and other great highlights. Combine this honor with Trek's release of the new "Portland" bike and Lance Armstrong's second Livestrong Portland riding event, and you've got a city just begging for more cyclists and events to please them all.
